We create each of these enhanced antique glass insulators in our restored 150-year-old Tobacco Barn shop.
These insulators are enhanced with a special blue translucent product, making them even more stunning than their original clear shade. A clear coat of the highest quality protectant is then applied, sealing the color and providing protection from prolonged exposure to sunlight, increased scratch resistance, and UV protection. These antique insulators are very heavy and are made of solid glass in the USA. Because these are approximately 100 years old, some of them may show signs of age. There are no sharp edges, cracks, or significant chips, but there could be signs of age and use. More character. 
The blue translucent color captures the sun beautifully and makes the insulator a joy to look at. Your insulators may be a Whitall Tatum, Armstrong, or Hemingray, depending on what we have available.
